Freedom

Exams over !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freedom ! Independence ! Merdeka !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing you really cherish when you do ACCA is the holidays after the exams !

The break/holiday is about 2 weeks.

Yup, that is short indeed!

Back in school, we get a month plus of holidays.

You never really value something while you have it,

you only value it after it is gone.

Don't know how to value time especially holidays ?!?!?!?!

This might help :-

If you want to know the value of a year, ask a P.O.W. that has lost his freedom.

If you want to know the value of a month, ask a mother that has given birth to a premature baby.

If you want to know the value of a week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

If you want to know the value of a day, ask a schoolboy on the last day before summer vacation.

If you want to know the value of an hour, ask a criminal sentenced to death.

If you want to know the value of a minute, ask a person that just missed their flight.

If you want to know the value of a second, ask a person that just avoided a serious car accident.

If you want to know the value of a millisecond, ask an Olympic silver medallist.

AND if you want to know the value of 2 weeks, ask a ACCA student !!!!

Stocks Up , Profits Up, Exams NEAR !

Let's see the news today shall we :-

1) Petronas Chemical IPO priced RM5.05-5.20.

-Mmmm... quite expensive for me. Nope I will forget about it.

-the company was considering a dividend policy comprising distribution of 50 per cent of net profits.I don't think that will continue on in the near future.

2) Petronas To Help Pengerang/Teluk Ramunia Develop Into Regional O&G Hub.

- just the icing on the cake to increase demand for share price.
Well, I ain't buying it.

3) Malaysia Airlines (MAS) swung back to profitability for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2010, posting a net profit of RM233 million, on the back of a 15% increase in revenue.

- Wow, that is a lot but hey you get lucky sometimes.
But as far as it goes for airline companies, you get LOSSES
MOST of the TIME.

4)Proton has reported that it has posted a RM186 million profit before tax for the first half of its 2010/11 financial year.

- Is that Right ?! Of course Proton cars don't last long.
You total one up, you have to buy a new one.
You buy a new one, but it has a lot of problem.
So you send it back to the genius who made the car
& they charge you for their screw up.
That is how you increase profits.
I hope other car makers don't do that !

5) Proton reveals prototype Exora EV.

- Another icing on the cake to improve share price... I guess.
But I must say, I have to congratulate them for their initiative.
They say it will be released in late 2011 or early 2012.
Wait a minute, 2012, that is smart.
I think they are just delaying it & hoping the world will end so that they will not need to make it.

6) Exams on Dec 9 and Dec 14.

- Pressure RISING! Stress RISING !
But i ain't cracking, there is only 1 way out.
NO RETREAT!!!! NO SURRENDER!!!! ONWARD TO GLORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trial & Error

Next week, is the MOCK EXAMS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All lecturers expect students to get high marks.

But I don't think so.

Chill, there was no real time to study.

Besides, MOCK exam = TRIAL exam.

TRIAL & ERROR.

So it's ok to screw up the MOCK EXAM.

BUT for God's sake not the REAL exam.

When dealing with the REAL stuff, you gotta put 100% effort into it.

So,

READY , STEADY , GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or in BM

Anda sedia, Anda sedia, JANGAN CAKAP BAHAYA !!!!!!!!!!!11

Aftermath & Realisation

Seems that the accident I witnessed in the late Sunday evening was VERY serious.

12 people died, 40 injured.

If I had left Malacca 1 hour earlier, I would have seen & maybe even inv........
never mind about that. (Touch wood)

They said the bus was speeding fast & to make matters worse it was an Indian dude
behind the wheel of the bus which caused the entire accident.

The poor guy was in the "limelight" for the wrong reason.

Can't blame that guy. Come on, their schedules are packed & they are delayed in bus stations. They have to speed up to go according to their schedule.....I guess.

I then started to make crazy scenarios.

One of 'em was to put myself in that position.

Imagine being in a bus which has impacted at high speed & turned over.

I am lying in a cramped up position & all messed up. The pain is unimaginable.

I think to myself, today is my last day.

Moments of my life flash before my eyes, then everything whites out.

I wake up in a white space & hear a voice, which asks

How did you feel when you knew today was your last day ?

Well, happy and kinda sad at the same time.

Happy because :-

1) I was able to go back & see my parents & have a good time.
2) I was able to enjoy playing old games with my new graphic cards.
3) I defeated 2 Chaos enemy armies using The Inquisition, in the name of the EMPEROR (using Inquisition Mod for Dawn of War:Dark Crusade)

Sad because :-

1) I was not able to play Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare 2.
2) I did not complete ACCA.
3) Did not take the time to LOVE.

Then suddenly it blacks out, on my HUD it displays :-

Mission Incomplete........Reboot

GASP* I suddenly wake up in a hospital. I see a doctor with a defibrillator.

I am alive !

Mmmmmmmmm......what a crazy scenario eh ?

Just shows how valuable life is.

Finally I get the saying "Live Every Day As If It Were Your Last".

Well, sadly & honestly I cannot do that.

Why?

I am an ACCA student.

ACCA = hell/ shit hole( according to 1 of my lecturers & I agree 100%)
ACCA = NO freedom (semester break = 2 weeks)
ACCA is the only course with the SHORTEST holiday !!!!!!!!!!

Do you remember the final lines in The Dark Knight ?

If you don't, they sound something like this :-

James Gordon Jr.: Why's he running, Dad?
Lt. James Gordon: Because we have to chase him.
James Gordon Jr.: He didn't do anything wrong.
Lt. James Gordon: Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

Now imagine asking me something like this later on when I am a qualified accountant regarding students doing the short-cut ACCA course:

You : Why the heck do this ACCA students have no life & study 24/7?
Me : Because they have to, it is the fate they choose.
You : They didn't do anything wrong then.
Me : Because they are accountants Malaysia deserves, but not the ones it
needs right now. So ACCA we'll hunt them down because they can take it.
( I hope so )
Because they are not accountants.
They 're - silent guardians (making sure the books balance),
- watchful protectors ( auditors who try to catch fraudsters).

They're - CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS !!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA ! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !

Come on, you gotta laugh about your carrier once in a while !

Why so serious ?

Cheers, have a good day !

Tragedy in the North - South Expressway on Sunday Night

The time was nearly 7p.m.,

I left Malacca at around 6.30 p.m. heading back towards KL,

After exiting the Ayer Keroh Toll Plaza, the road was smooth up to the Negeri Sembilan border,

After that, traffic just built up and it turned into a traffic jam,

I was kinda shocked as traffic jam only start towards the Seremban exit known as the Light Zone, this is because from there on the highway is full lit by street lamps.

It was only 35 KM from the Ayer Keroh Toll Plaza, but as i got closer I begin to see what had caused this massive jam.

When the jam started this early, I already knew there was an accident but what I saw was no ordinary accident involving 2 cars.

It was very bad, in fact it was the worse kind of accident I had ever seen in my life.

First, I saw a white overturned van. As i got closer i realised the divider was smashed up and towards the left was on overturned red bus. A bit further away was another bus which was kinda badly damaged.

In between was a black car which had turned 270 degrees.
2\3 of the highway was blocked by the vehicles which were involved in the accident.
Only 1 vehicle by 1 vehicle could move through the gap .

There was a massive jam heading towards the South due to the collision. Thank God, I was heading North or I would have been stuck in a massive traffic jam.

The road was full of plastic debris which indicated this was a high speed collision.
Since like 5 vehicles were involved, I could guess that the minimum death toll would be 10.

The buses would have been surely packed as many would be returning from a short weekend holiday.

There were many people who got out of their vehicles trying to help the unfortunate but it was hopeless as 2 vehicles had overturned.

I unwind my window and I could smell blood in the air. I knew it as i have been to hospitals. I could hear people moaning from the darkness of the overturned vehicles.

Due to the jam, ambulances and fire engines from Seremban were held up, so help was going to take a long time to come.

If it came from Melaka, it would have taken lesser time and besides Melaka is nearer.
With every passing moment, more people would be dying.

I just hope help from Melaka would arrive on time.

Many casualties would be from the overturned bus because I am sure not many would have been wearing their safety belts and would have been thrown around.

Thank God, I did not see any corpses which have been flung out cause I am sure I will never forget it.

When I returned to K.L, I called my dad in Melaka & he notified me that Melaka Hospital was in Code:Yellow & was expected to receive 50 victims from the accident.
Code:Yellow meant all staff on duty as well as low ranking specialist (I guess) must be on duty.

If it was Code:Red then ALL staff must be on duty. I think it would have been Code : Red later.

It was bad, I hope that there will not be many casualties.
May the force be with the victims of this tragedy.

One things for sure, this is definitely going to make the newspapers headline tomorrow.

A Storm Is Approaching

A storm is coming in my world & in the "REAL" world too.

Storm in my world cause everything is going to go chaotic after the Raya holidays.

Lecturers are gonna go super fast to cover the entire HEAVY syllabus and soon after that will be MOCK EXAM. (The Battle of Helms Deep)

If you can't cope, you are in DEEP S*#T !

but hey, that's ACCA.

You can't just pass with brains, you need 100% put in your effort & study like mad. Well thats what one of my lecturers told me.

But I prefer the recipe in Remember The Name by Fort Minor :-

10% luck
20% skill
15% concentrated power of will
5% pleasure
50% pain
&
100% REASON TO REMEMBER THE NAME* (in this case the theory)

Things aren't looking to good in the REAL world too.

Massive floods, land slides, forest fires, Two asteroids to pass between Earth and the moon's orbit.

Mmm....I wonder if 2012 is really going to be Judgment Day ?

Whatever it maybe I think all of us will make it through eventually.

I would like to quote the Archangel Michael in a movie called Legion

"When God chose your kind as the object of His love, I was the first in all of heaven to bow down before you. My love, my hope for mankind was no less than His. But I have watched you trample that gift. I have watched you kill each other over race and greed... waging war over dust and rubble and the words in old books. And yet, in the midst of all this darkness, I see some people who will not be bowed. I see some people who will not give up, even when they know all hope is lost."

The Only Way

Mmmmm....long time since I have last blogged .

I guess being a blogger is like being an artist,

You need the a spark of inspiration to ignite.

I think I found my spark.

Now, I am doing my 2nd semester for ACCA & things do NOT look fantastic !

The battle just got harder & everyone around will do ANYTHING to survive !

Some lose their human side & turn into machines !

No wonder people stereotype accountants as people with :-

1) No life
2) No sense of humor
3) People who do not talk and just sit down punching a calculator and writing down figures.

Citizens of the United States of Malaysia, I can assure you that I am not one of THOSE people.

I will not give up my HUMAN side and become a machine !!!!!!!!!

When things get from bad to worse, it cannot go down any further,

the ONLY WAY out is for it to get better.

In simple terms, when you hit ROCK BOTTOM the only way is to go UP.

This is why eventually we pull out from an Economic Downturn.

So, find the SPARK, IGNITE & propel UPWARDS to GLORY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Twilight VS Predator

In Alien VS Predator, it was technically the humans who won. Err..well with the help of the Predator.

I wonder who would win if it was Twilight VS Predator. I am not a fan of Twilight and the only part in the film which ain't boring is when there is fight which happens on a rare occasion.

One thing for sure is that I am a Predator fan. The Predators aka Yautja are alien species with advance technology and love a good hunt which is challenging. So now and then they come to Earth and fight elite soldiers, criminals and cops. For the ultimate challenge I think they should add vampires in their list.

NOW thats EXTREME ! I would like to see a Predator blow off a vampire's head with a plasmacaster.

I really don't get the "hype" about Twilight. It is really annoying to go to a cinema to watch Predators when it is full of people wanting to watch Twilight. I think the cinema people should open seperate counters for other movies like Predators, Toy Story 3 and bla bla bla.

Predators are no doubt more cool than vampires. Their gear and arsenal of weapons is amazing. The way they hide and hunt their prey down no doubt earns them their name.........:PREDATORS.

The cool thing about then is their multi-vision mask, active
camouflage/invisibility and their energy weapon aka plasmacaster with the 3 dot laser target.

What would be the best way to avoid detection of a Predator via thermal vision?

Well, covering yourself in mud seems to be a good solution as seen in the first Predator movie but it wears out quickly if exposed to water.

The best way I found in the Internet through Wikipedia is to use a black plastic bag....a big one to cover your entire body like a Ghillie suit a sniper wears to conceal himself.

Psychic

Forget Professor X, he does not exist.

Talk about Paul the Octopus !!!!!!!!!

Yes, the psyhic octopus predictions on the world cup matches have been accurate so far.

The most anticipated will of course be the match between Argentina & Germany.

Paul has predicted Germany will win.

God bless Argentina & Diego Maradona.

There are a few skeptics out there and there will always be skeptics.

But I am kinda convinced because the octopus is a unique species and is known to have INTELIGENCE.

Some have active camouflage i.e. defence like the Predator from AvP has or in simple terms just blend into its surroundings.

They are so mysterious and not much is known about these magnificant creatures.

Who knows, they actually have psychic abilities ?

Can you accept the fact?

Let's see if Paul can accurately predict which team is going to win the World Cup

Betting on The Wrong Stuff

If you watch the news lately you can see that lot of bookies as they call it are busted by the cops for illegal betting on World Cup matches.

The cops seize like thosands of bucks and lot of laptops & handphones but I wonder what they will do with it.

The goverment says that illegal betting is so rampant that about more than RM 3 million is at stake. I wonder what they think about the RM 30 MILLION they lost in taxes due to illegal sand mining in JB.

I think they should just make it legal and charge a percentage of tax. In that way, it will "benifit" both parties. Yeah right, like that will happen in Malaysia. It would be like making prostitution legal. Come on, Czech Republic does it.

The funny part is when one high ranking official stated betting on football matches should be stopped because people might start betting on local football tournaments.

This is a joke right? Come on, who the heck watches local football matches and make bets on it ? It is like making a bet in a gasing tournament. Our people would rather gamble their money in the casino if they are high class or on a chicken fighting tournament if they are low class.

I don't know about you but I am not a gambling kind of person but I must admit some times gambling might seem a bit high class due to James Bond movies. Whenever anyone asks me, "Are you a gambling person?" my reply would be as what James Bond said in one of the movies i.e. "Yes, if the stakes are high".

Now you know why I don't bet on football matches or chicken fighting tournaments.

Tribute to a Genius & Inventor

Anyone know this guy ?

I bet 98% of people in Malaysia do not know this dude.

All we know is Thomas Alva Edison.

Once you know the dude above you will go like "To hell with Edison !"

The dude above is Nikola Tesla.

This guy is a real genius and not a capitalist like Edison.

He was born in Serbia and became an Electrical Engineer.

He then migrated to the USA, the land of oppurtunities!

He then worked in Edison's lab with a letter of recomendation which stated :-

I only know 2 great people. The first is you (Edison), the second is this man (Tesla)

Tesla agreed to help modify Edison's generator for which Edison agreed to pay him a bonus of $50000.

Tesla did modify the generators and made them more efficient.

When Tesla asked for the bonus, Edison replied "I don't think you get the American sense of humour, do you?

Tesla then quit his job and continued inventing more awesome stuff.

He became a close rival of Edison but was never rich like him.

Here are a list of stuff he invented :-

Tesla Coil

a sort of transformer. If you hold a light bulb near it, it will light.
Yes, it is wireless electricity.

Fluorescent light bulb.

Edison's light bulb was frikin unefficient. It was 98% heat and 2% light.
Edison cannot even hold the light bulb he invented cause it was too hot !

Radio

Most people think it was Marconi who made the radio but he did it using 17 of Tesla's patented design.

AC current system.

Our Edison banked on the DC electric system but man was it inefficient and expensive. Tesla's AC system was way better and is used till this day.

Electric motor

Yes it was Tesla who designed the electric motor which worked by alternating the magnetic field to create a rotation. Now we use it in everyday life from Tamiya Cars to Hybrid Cars.

There are still more stuff but i think the above was great enough.

He did so much for humanity but was never a rich guy nor was he even remembered.

As Tesla himself stated:-

“Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.”

Money Politics

Just watched the 8p.m. news and something really caught my attention.

DAP now has a rule that any party member who wants to "keluar party" or join BN or become adun BEBAS has to pay

RM5,000,000/ RM5 Million !

I went like wow ! Now you talking!

Come on, before this there was a "buyer" going around buying opposition parliament members without being stopped.

Now DAP has changed the rule of the game !

Looks like the "buyer" has to increase their rate now ! LOL !

Maybe the minimum the buyer needs to offer is RM 6,000,000.

Let's see how the desperate the "buyer" is.

Let's see if there are anymore opposition members jumping party.

Hats off to DAP for the wonderful strategy !

Malaysian politics is definetly entertaining.

Science of The Unknown

It is the 21st century & the advance in Science & technology is undeniably freakin fast.

Science = the study of natural phenomenon.

There is where the problem starts.

In science we try to find an answer for everything even the existence of God.

If it is not scientifically proven then we say it is impossible or unrealistic.

I kinda find this bias & narrow minded.

Instead of saying "No way, thats not possible !" try saying " WHY NOT "

Science has yet to answer many questions from paranormal activity to the existence of God.

One of the most simple ones is " Why does a compass point North always ?"

This is the answer given by an expert from the magazine, Popular Science :-

Science is full of things you can see with your own eyes yet for which, even today, there is no satisfactory explanation.

For instance, a compass needle always points south. You might know this happens because the earth's magnetic field is orientated roughly along its axis of spin.

But why does it point north no one knows.

We can see it, describe it and measure it but we can't explain it

Moral of the Story : Think twice before you say that is impossible.
Few centuries back they said it was impossible to fly
but now look where we are.

Death of the Golden Goose & The Birth of Chaos

The year is 2010,

The Government has announced it will introduce Goods Service Tax (GST) early this year.

In May, the government announced that it will cut subsidies.

The signs are clear, the Golden Goose which gives the golden egg is going to die.

The Golden Goose = Petrol.

We all learned in Form 3 that fossil fuels are a non-renewable source of energy.

Once its gone, its gone. You are going to have to wait another few million years for fossil fuels.

For now everybody is happy that petrol is RM1.80 per liter.

Sadly, this is going to change.

The government "might" remove the petrol subsidy gradually until market price.

Well, thats their plan but I doubt it.

The people will not accept that & definitely make a lot of noise.

Eventually, they will be forced to accept the harsh reality and then things just start to get worse.

Prices will rise sky high. RM 10 is now RM 1.

That will mark the Birth of Chaos. From then on it is a continuous spiral downwards.

A fictional future not likely to happen ?

Sorry, this is not a fairy tale. Things do not end happily ever after.

Look around you ? What is happening ?

What our attempts to mitigate oil depletion ?

Does the government have any contingency plan ?

Our electricity grid, where does most of the power come from ?

Why are Singaporeans filling up their cars until their tanks explode with our subsidized petrol ?

I don't understand why can we just make a law requiring all Singaporean cars to leave Malaysia with only half or a quarter tank of fuel. If not, there is RM200 fine.

Instead of requiring all foreign cars to only fill up 20 liters of fuel. This is stupid and ridiculous. If you do not know how to solve a problem look around for answers ? Come on, all Singapore cars leaving Singapore must have 3/4 tank of fuel, so why can't we adopt the same policy to our advantage.

Are we considering nuclear power ? I think it is too late.

The Shah of Iran (wise guy) knew that petrol will run out in the future &
started Iran's Nuclear Program in the 1950's. The Shah approved plans to construct, with U.S. help, up to 23 nuclear power stations by 2000.
Sadly, Iran's nuclear program continued until the 1979 Iranian Revolution that toppled the Shah of Iran.

Now in 2010 Malaysia is considering nuclear energy. I do not know whether to laugh or cry ?

What are we going to do when oil runs out or becomes RM180 per litre ?

I would consider getting a bicycle.

Err.. you might want to forget the imported hydrogen OR solar car cause it might cost more than RM 1 mil.

Plus you cannot plug and charge via the power grid cause the electricity rate then will be RM 50 per kilowatt.

So, I hope you consider a bicycle or maybe invent a car which runs on water.

You might want to work on that fast based on the graph below.

Enviromental Disasters & People

Another oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. This time its BP.

I always wondered what BP stands for. Then I knew it was British Petroleum.

Now the Americans call BP = British Polluters.

Well, I am glad its BP and hope next time its Shell.

No, I am not mean. Come on, all oil companies have to get bad publicity at least once.

Exxon Mobil got it for the Valdez oil spill.

I hope Petronas does not f*!k up like the others or we will be BROKE by 2012 !

I know what the Socialist / Communist have to say :

Bloody capitalists destroying the environment without mercy just to get profits !

Wait a minute, even the Socialist / Communist have got their hands dirty.

The difference about socialist / communist when they screw up is that they try to keep it a secret.

Unfortunately, for the capitalist who screws up, it goes PUBLIC & they try to sue them for EXTRAORDINARY SUMS of DAMAGES.

The Socialist / Communist are pretty good at covering up their "ACT" they have done to the environment.

Ever heard about the Aral Sea & Darvaza ?

Aral Sea - The Soviets were trying to do 2 things-

(1) Build an irrigation system to irrigate plantation in the inland
(2) Research on Biological weapons in an island in the sea.

Things got bad and the Biological Weapons facility was just abandoned and the sea started to shrink thanks to the wonderful irrigation system.

Next is, Darvaza ( The Gateway to Hell)

Now, this is a crater with methane burining inside it for the last 20 years.

Oh yeah, thats a lot of methane.

Our Soviet friends tried to build a gas extraction plant on top of the place but sadly the ground below was too soft and collapsed.

Methane is poisonous and 2x worst than Carbon Dioxide as a greenhouse gas.

So, how to solve the problem ? Just burn the feaking gas !

You solve the problem and create a spectacular site like never seen before.

Mmm... I wonder is BP thinking what I am thinking ?

Why not set the oil floating in the gulf on fire ?

Aftermath

After a war, there is always the aftermath.

Battle wounds and psychological scar.

Well, the same goes for after an ACCA paper.

Thankfully no battle wounds.

What I cannot forget until now is some Latin terms I learned in F4 "Law paper"

Here it goes :-

ratio decidendi - reason behind the decision of law

obiter dicta - statement made by judges

mala fide - acting in bad purpose

res ipsa loquitar - take the facts of the case as they are.

Principle of nemo dat quad non habet - only the original owner can pass a good title

volunti non fit injuria - cannot sue if you yourself have consented to the act.

contra proferentem rule - to protect defandant from exemption clause

bona fide - good faith

habeas courpus - protection from unlawful detention

I just cannot forget this stuff.

I think maybe it is kinda cool in a weird kind of way !

Freedom

Freedom.................

It's the best feeling in the world !

Nothing to worry about !

Can finally watch TV without anyone saying,
"Aren't you suppose to be studying for your exam "

(Sigh)...of relief

When my paper F5 just ended at 6.17 p.m. I was feeling kinda weird.

I was wondering, "So is this the Freedom i have been seeking for ?"

I walked out of the exam hall & only then did I realise

I WAS FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will really value this period of time as the saying goes,

"Better enjoy it while you still can"

The Silence Isn't So Bad

The sands of time is turning against ALL ACCA & CAT students this summer.

Yes, the exams are coming !

Stress is at 100%. Oh yeah, this is worse than what I faced in CAT and SPM combined.

Anxiety & fear hover in the air.

The weak begin to tremble and so do the strong.

Come hell or high water, I am sitting for this exam and passing.

When the storm gets closer, there is always an eerie silence.

The same happens here. Thats why I have not been "facebooking" and blogging lately.

I have a lot of tales which I would love to post but I am afraid it will only be after June 14.

Ah, June 14, the day after F5, I will be free at last.

Until then I will put in 100% into passing the exams this round.

NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER, WE WILL WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to all ACCA & CAT students out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

May Day

Ah, the 1st of May.

Holiday. Why ?

Labour Day.

I think most of us don't give a damn cuz it has nothing to with us.

I used to be like that but not anymore.

If you open your eyes and look outside you will realise not everybody is lucky and living an easy life.

Labourers face a harsh life and face a lot of difficulties like :
A) underpaid
B) replaced by machinery
C) losing job due to economic "crisis"
D) unfair working conditions and hours

Labourers are essential to the development of the economy but are not treated properly.

Now the socialist and communist come into the picture and start firing the capitalist for not taking care of the welfare of the labourer.

This I kinda sadly admit cuz all the capitalist give a damn about is profits. To hell with everyone else.
Even the law supports these capitalist.

see the case of Parke v Daily News Ltd
The directors made a proposal to distribute a large sum of money to employees made redundant.
The court held that the intention was good but the directors were in breach of duty to act in interest of the company.
The interest of the company was to its shareholders and NOT to its employees.

Sad but true.

I salute all the men and women out there working as labourers.

If it ain't for you guys, the rest of us won't be here.

Good Job & keep it up.

PLUS

Isn't that a familiar logo to us?

Maybe if you do not travel much or you don't give a damn then it is possible you have not seen it.

Well, you will see it everyday if you live in KL. To get to college I always use the highway, NPE. It is kinda fast to get to Sunway KL via NPE. But there is a "small" price you have to pay ($1.60 x 2)

Ouch ! I really used to complain every time the Toll Plaza appeared.
Professional Extortionists ! Day-light robbery !

Well, all that changed after the Kilometer 279.9 incident.

I was on my way to Melacca around 8.15 p.m. and maintaining a speed of 140km/h.

Suddenly, a loud noise. I looked at my bro and asked, "Did you hear that ?".

He said yeah and told me its nothing but I did not think so.

Then this weird noise like something being dragged was heard.

F*#k, I knew something was wrong and pulled over in the emergency lane.

I could not get out cuz lorries and cars were speeding like crazy in the lane beside.

My bro got down and inspected the car & confirmed my worst nightmare :-

I killed something.....

Chill la, it was just a flat tyre.

I could not change it cause it was on the driver's side and that was exposed to the speeding vehicles on the other lane.

When you got a flat tyre, who do you call ?

Ghostbusters ?!

No la, PLUS Peronda.

But the worst part is that I did not have their number.

So what to do?

The place where I stopped had this "Telefon Kecemasan" sign.

So I thought I could check it out.

As I walked to the phone, I could feel the heavy wind blowing in the highway and vehicles passing at top speed.

Man, was it LOUD !!!!!!!!

Then I reached this phone and I was shocked !

Dude, there was no phone but there was this white lever like stuff and you pull it downwards to talk.

So I did it and waited for a while. Then this dude started talking but it was so damn noisy the dude could not hear a thing.

Then I looked towards my car and saw blue sirens.

I thought it was PLUS Peronda and ran towards the car.

When I was approaching the vehicle with the siren switched lanes and came in front.

It was the cops !!

I walked towards the patrol car and in it were 2 cops.

They asked me for my IC and drivers license. Thank God I had them or I am a dead man.

I told them about the flat and they said o.k.

Before leaving, one of the cops said, "Berhati-hati, ya!Tempat ini tak selamat"

Then they just went.

I was like "WHAT?!" and went towards the phone again but this time constantly looking back. You never know ?

Then I saw this siren again. Don't tell me is the cops again.

Thankfully this time it was the PLUS Peronda.

The dude changed the tyre in matter of minutes and went on.

If it wasn't for those guys I don't know what will I do.

So, now I don't complain when paying toll.

I think our PLUS boys are doing the job just fine.

If you don't get what I mean, go to India.

When you see, feel and experience the roads there, you will really love our highways.

Sebelum saya mengundur diri, saya ingin mengucap ribuan terima kasih kepada pihak PLUS kerana menyelamatkan saya.

Sekain, terima kasih.

Greek Interest

Watched Clash of The Titans few weeks ago.

Now in History Channel they showing Clash of The Gods.

Now that is interesting cuz it tells you about Greek mythology and mythical creatures and Greek gods.

Before that, Clash of The Titans was kinda disappointing.

First, there are no titans.

Secondly, the Kraken in a Norse mythical creature NOT Greek.

Thirdly, Perseus did not kill Medussa with a sword from Zeus. It was from Hermes and Athena gave him a polished shield to look at Medusa's reflection.
Come on, how the heck are you goin to kill someone by closing your eyes !?

So then, all these Greek stuff reminded me of AOM (Age of Mythology) !
After finishing my Mock Exam, I immediately came back searched my CD stash.

The Gods smiled upon me.
I was able to find it AND the Titans Expansion Pack as well !!!!!!!!!
All hail Zeus.
So, now I am playing AOM.

Yes I know, sounds kinda lame.
But it's FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of the Time Warp

"sigh" (of relief)

Mock Exam ended last week.

It was kinda o.k. except for F5.

Never in my life I took a Mock Exam this seriously !

Back in Sunway JB, I adopted the "Trial & Error Policy"

What that simply means is screw the Mock Exam and do well for the real exam.

Not very applicable here in Sunway KL cuz everyone seems DAMN SERIOUS.

Failing Mock Exam is like END OF THE WORLD here !!!

Come on, WTF ?!

Who cares it is over & I got a 1 week "holiday".

Dizzy Old Gamer Syndrome

Caught up with Teoh Eu Vin today before F6 class from 2p.m. to 5 p.m.

Then we talked about the good old days and life nowadays.

While chatting I told him I have not played any computer games since December

especially COD 4 : Modern Warfare 2.

He then offered me to come to his hostel room and try it out.

An offer which I could hardly resist. Finally, I was going to experience Mod War. 2 !!!

Since I was kinda (VERY) rusty, I decided to do the training first.

Then was the part where there was the time-limit course where you have to shoot cardboard terrorist.

I reealised I was freakin slow. I clocked in 1 min Plus & killed 2 civilians. :()

So I continued to try to improve my timing but the best I could clock in was 52 sec.

I then started to feel kinda dizzy and stopped playing.

I could not take it. What has gone wrong?

I guess all those months without games have taken its toll.

I then tried Mass Effect 2 but was the same.

After a few minutes, I got dizzy.

Thereby, I decided to name this condition "Dizzy Old Gamer Syndrome".

I think the cure to this disease is to play a bit by bit to get use to it.

I will try this in June after my freakin ACCA exam.

Hope it works cuz the feeling of not being able to play computer games anymore is tragic.:,

After all, as I saw on a shirt of some dude:-

With God all things are Possible
Matthew 19:26

What do you say ?

Sterotyping

Stereotyping is the act to stereotype a class of people either positively or negatively.

In Malaysia stereotypes are kinda common I guess.

Come on, lets see :-

Indian people - bad drivers, talk loud while using handphone, gangsters, people who love to "drink"

Chinese people - kiasu, loan shark a.k.a Ah Long, etc.

Lets not get started with other races and start Ethnic War 2* in Malaysia.
*Ethnic War 1 was May 13.

From my point of view, to stereotype people is complete nonsense.

Everybody is different in their own way. You cannot judge a group of people based on 1 individual.

Stereotypes also occur in the ACCA course I am doing now. It is about the students with different backgrounds who join the ACCA course.

Lets start with the types of sterotypes.

1) CAT students

CAT students always receive high publicity. Why?
Some say they have an "advantage" over other students.
They are immature & think about enjoying all the time.
They no need to put in 100% effort to sail through ACCA.
They are assumed to know everything in ACCA and can score 100% in every exam. LOL!

2) A Level students.

The motto for A-level students in Sunway KL is : Above all the rest.
Man, are they so high above that I can't even see them.
They are said to be very matured & highly disciplined.
If you put in 100%, A-level students put in 200% in ACCA.
Very wise and can give you valuable advice.

3) Diploma students

These are a mysterious bunch.
You can hardly spot them cuz they blend in so well.
Very intelligent & they get exemption for F4 (Law Paper)
Luck b!@#$%^>s!!!!!!

4) TAR students

These guys did their diploma in TAR college.
Never seen one but their acts are legendary.
They get exemption from F1 to F5 !! :()
They are super intelligent.
They only mingle with their kind.
They are also super kiasu some say.
They will BOOK an entire row in an auditorium just for their club.
Sadly, they are limited in numbers and cannot book the entire auditorium.:,

Man , I am sick with this stereotypes.

Lets just forget about it and embrace the spirit of 1 Malaysia.

Sekian, terima kasih.

Horror Movies & Slasher Movies

Mmm....these are my favourite category of movies.

They really send out a lot of messages which are hard to interpret.

Most people do not actually think so because the main focus is the ghost or the wacko killing people for no reason.

But I got to admit some are absolute rubbish.

What's rule No.1 in Horror Movies ?

Nope...it is not scaring people to death.

It is RESPECTING THE DEAD.

You mess with the DEAD, you are DEAD.

Don't believe me? Remember the movie Poltergeist.

Quite a scarry movie. The production crew violated rule No. 1

They used real skeletons and the actors & actress of the movie series died in mysterious & bad circumstances.

This incident was famously know as the "Poltergeist Curse"

I also have downloaded the Friday The 13th movie series.

Kinda gorry, scary & thrilling.

Makes me really alert. Nowadays, I really take coners very carefully & look behind often. Sometimes even "arm" myself with "weapons".

Come on,you never know when a mindless serial slasher might be preying on you.

SO, you better watch out,
You better not cry,
You better not know I'm telling you why,
Jason is coming to town......

So lock up your daughter, lock up your wife,
lock up your back door & run for your life.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Takin a Chill Pill

Had a relaxing day at Sunway Pyramid today & watched Alice in Wonderland with my new friends in KL.

Yup, this would be the second trip I made to the Pyramid with those guys.

I must say they are a cheerful bunch.

Well ,the movie was OKEY & was much better than I expected.

The movie made me realise that sometime we have to get out of the wonderland we live in.

I got out of my "wonderland" when I started doing ACCA in Sunway KL.

Doing ACCA made me come in contact with people who were aged from 20+ to 30.

By listening to them and the journey they had went through, I know that I have not faced the harshness of life yet.

Back in Sunway JB with 1991 dudes, it was all fun and games.

Hey, but I still believe that there is still a child in all of us.

Having weird fantasies, interest like Gundam & Transformers & playing computer games.

After all, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"

In addition, "All play and no work makes Jack a jackass"

So make it a balance & enjoy life to the fullest.

Cheers mate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fragile Peace

This week will be kinda "peaceful" thanks to the end
of PT2.

I feel really left out but thats gonna change.

I think I should take time and look outside at the world.

I saw the sunset today and realised how many sunsets I missed.

Life is not in front of the computer or books all the time.

There's more stuff out there.

In addition, I think I should speak to more people.

I have been to myself this past few days & I feel weird.

You know that if you don't talk much you might lose your people skill
and turn into a zombie.

But nothing last forever and the same goes to this small period of peace.

ACCA exam is coming in June & the Mock exam is coming soon.

The fight never stops until it is the end of 1 party. (Me or ACCA)

You get the picture right?

In Another World

"Sigh"

Progress Test 2 is over.

It was worse than Progress Test 1 but, hey I did my best.

Even if I am not prepared I will sit for any test and do what I can.

I honor the Spartan Warrior Principle :

No retreat, no surrender cause the death in the battlefield is the greatest glory to achieve in his life.

No retreat = Turning up for the exam/test

No surrender = Doing all questions

Death = Getting it wrong & probably failing

Glory = Failure

I must say that during the week before the test & during the test, I felt like I was in a different world.

Joy & happiness just kinda vanished.
Friends & family seemed far away.
The fear of failure begin to rise.

Then I started studying like crazy.
But nothing seem to get in my head.

I realised all this was caused by last minute work.
I know if I do not change, I am finished.
This is ACCA.
CAT + SPM cannot beat ACCA.

I don't care, I am goin' to get through this.
Come hell or high water !!!!!!!!!!!!!

10 days

It has been 10 days, since I last blogged.

Well, I was preparing for Progress Test 2.

I did notice something within these few days.

Why is it hard to study?

Its only when the exam is close do we students study.

Why is it so easy to go online, blog, facebook & play computer games?

We do it all the time.

Then, my lecturer told us about a phenomenon which I would like to call
Knowledge Starvation.

Heard about it anyone?

I will continue tmr. after the end of PT2 for F5.

By the way, Good Luck to All CAT & ACCA students in Sunway-TES sitting for PT2.

Failure

Soichiro Honda : Success in 99% failure.

Then why are we so ashamed and shy about it.

I remember back in Sek. Men. I failed B.M.so my Keputusan was Gagal for my 3rd monthly test.

The best part was, I was kinda happy. I do not know why.
It was probably because if someone ever scolded me, "You tak faham bahasa, kah?"
My reply would be simple, "Tak la, saya GAGAL dalam mata pelajaran B.M"
What shocked me further was I got A1 for B.M in Trials and A2 for the Actual SPM.

I felt bad in the beginning but then I asked my self, "Imagine if you got A2 for another subject instead of B.M.?"

So, always look on the bright side of life.
Everything happens for a reason.
There are no accidents.

Failure does not mean the end of the world.
In fact, it is people who have failed several times that become somebody at the end of the day.

Failure is also someone who wakes us up from our sleep and tells us to work harder.
To be honest, I am some who is very afraid of failure. That is why I will do my level best to avoid it.

Unfortunately, not many have fear for failure. That is why they must face its bitterness at the end of the day.Only then will they realize that they are on the wrong path.

Remember, the purpose of life is to achieve a balance.
Not enjoy 100%. If you enjoy now, you will suffer later. (Newton's 3rd Law)
Money will finish, boyfriends & girlfriends will leave but knowledge will remain with you until you die.

Live life with a purpose.

Hey & Hi

Been some time since I last posted anything.

Well, the reasons are obvious : I was DAMN busy with homework.

To make stuff better, my Progress Test 2 is next week & it is harder than Progress Test 1.

What would an ACCA student do if there were not any Progress Test?
I wonder........

Lot of stuff happening lately such as Earthquakes.
Seems to match the movie 2012, eh? Kinda freaky !
But hey why give a damn cause we ain't affected.

Now thats the beauty of Malaysia.
It is free from natural disasters but sadly not MAN MADE DISASTERS (politics & drought).

Time just seems to fly especially when exams get closer.
I just do not know why.

Proton

Nope not the subatomic particle but our favorite local car manufacturer:

Proton.

Wait a minute, I know a lot of people out there either

a) Hate it
b) Think it is a joke
c) Made from Milo tins

Relax.

I think we are rushing into making a conclusion.

When was Proton formed? It was formed in 1983.

It is quite a young company and has much to learn.

Come on, even Toyota was not perfect in the start. All they did was copy American cars.

Now, Proton is copying Japanese cars especially Mitsubishi, so the cycle continues.

I think we should have faith in Proton & not lose all hope.

For a company to grow, the consumers must have confidence.

From my point of view, I think Proton is improving. SERIOUSLY !!!

It will just take time(only God knows) for them to become like BMW, Toyota & etc.

Well, tmr. in the Geneva Motor Show, Proton is going to unveil its hybrid car.

Stress

As an ACCA student, I have seen many types of stress.
You name it.
Exam stress, class stress, eustress, love stress, and the list goes on.
However, lately I have been experiencing
Fear stress , thats what I call it.
It is caused by "scary" motivation from lecturers.
But it is ok cuz it makes you wanna study.
As 1 of my lecturer said, "I want you to be
stressed now, not during the exam"

Down

Things now seem kinda down!

All these started after Progress Test 1 results were out.

If there is one thing lecturers are good in is always making sure carefree students return to reality.

Reality = Hard life, Hard work, Sacrifice and bla bla bla

If you slack, you are DOOMED.

So, the moral of the story is : Life is NOT a bed of roses.

To all new ACCA students out there : Welcome to the War Zone.

Jeez man, I just do not know.

Something is happening to me.

I feel no more joy, I find it hard to smile.

So what you do ?

I listen to Hitz.FM . Malaysia's No.1 hit station.

Now I feel MUCH better!

So how do you feel?

Success

Got my CAT results today & I am glad I passed all the subjects.

This is certainly one of the success I will not forget in life.

However CAT is like the Battle for Helms Deep in LOTR.

ACCA is going to be the Battle for Middle Earth.

The fight is not over. In fact, it just got harder.

As the Terminator once said, "Never stop fighting".

Hell Yeah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This success has just made me more determined to study & pass ACCA with flying colours.

As for the rest of you out there, I hope you achieve the success which you envision.

In fact, I would like to tell you the BASIC SECRET TO SUCCESS.

I got this in an e-mail and it sounds like this :-

A young man asked Socrates the secret to success. Socrates told the young man to meet him near the river the next morning. They met. Socrates asked the young man to walk with him toward the river. When the water got up to their neck, Socrates took the young man by surprise and ducked him into the water. The boy struggled to get out but Socrates was strong and kept him there until the boy started turning blue. Socrates pulled his head out of the water and the first thing the young man did was to gasp and take a deep breath of air. Socrates asked, 'What did you want the most when you were there?" The boy replied, "Air." Socrates said, "That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air, then you will get it." There is no other secret.

So, moral of the story is : DETERMINATION is the key to success.

Some people say they are not smart, they are stupid & bla bla bla(all the negativity)

Well, that is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT.

Everybody is smart & it is all up to you how you want to use your brains?

When I see someone get 100 for an exam, I do not say that person is smart.

I will say that person is determined.

My determination is derived from :-

1)Power of The Universe a.k.a "God"
2)Trust of My Parents
3)Gundam
4)Other Inspirational people (Socrates, Soichiro Honda, My lecturers....)

So are you determined?

Determined enough to persevere, sacrifice & attain GLORY?

Remember nothing is impossible.

Aim for the stars & I hope you will get there.

Sunday, February 21, 2010

Judgement Day

Nope it is not end of the world.

It is just that my CAT results is coming out at
0500 GMT which is 1 o' clock here.

I must admit the worst part is the agony of waiting for that time. The suspense.....Oh Man.

But ya got to keep your cool or you're in for a heart attack or an anxiety attack.

All I can say is I did my best & I leave the rest to the Power of The Universe.

I would also like to take this oppurtunity to wish all CAT & ACCA students Good Luck.

Do not worry & always have hope and faith.

Is Wolfman a Werewolf?

Just watched the film The Wolfman some time back.

I have to say it is one heck of an interesting movie.

The transformation into a werewolf is an awesome scene.

Besides, :-

1) Anthony Hopkins and his "cool" way of talking.

2) There is a Sikh butler. Come on, most of the time the butler in an Englishmen.

3) The dude which acted as Elrond in LOTR is an Inspector. His famous line, "A Pint of Bitter, please"

4) There are many "shocking" situations which can cause a heart attack, so this movie ain't for the faint heart.

5)Weird gypsy poems such as :- Even a man who is pure in heart
and says his prayers by night
may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms
and the autumn moon is bright.

P.S.
To all loverboys out there : Do not bring your girlfriend for this kind of movie unless she herself insisted.

This is because during the "scary" beginning of the movie, I saw a boyfriend bringing his girlfriend out cuz I guess she could not take the "gore" & "violence" of a werewolf attacking a human.

Ok..Ok..the beginning was like this :-

A dude carries a lamp & walks in the woods in the middle of a full moon night. He shouts, "Come on, show yourself". The dude got what he asked for. A werewolf appears claws his face & guts him.

Feeling scared now ?

Werewolves are kinda interesting but I always wanted to see a REAL werewolf.

What I mean is a werewolf which is actually made like how it is mentioned in the Gypsy poem.

Cuz in the movie, all the werewolves are result of 1 werewolf biting 1 guy & that guy becomes a werewolf.

Hot Days in Malaysia

I must admit.....

Its getting hot day by day here.

Was watching news today & there was no good news.

It seems there is an El Nino over in the Pacific.

Add that with deforestation & open burning
here and things just get worse.

The worst effect is water shortage aka draught.

Without water we are DEAD.

I hope this problem will resolve quickly.

Taiwan & Tech

I do not know if you guys noticed, there are many computer manufacturing companies is Taiwan.

For example :-

Asus, Acer , BenQ & ABIT, Gigabyte

I have always admired ASUS.

I have a computer using ASUS motherboard back from 2001 and it has been lasting very well. The computer never gave any problems. It was also using an ABIT GPU from 2001 and it has not been even changed until now.

I have to say that ASUS is some massive shit. Their technological innovation is SO AHEAD.
It breaks my heart that the only ASUS device in my "gaming" computer now is an ASUS DVD-ROM that was from my old computer which I got in 2005.

Now, thats what I call QUALITY.
I will make sure my next gaming computer has MORE ASUS components!!!!!

All hail ASUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Gamer's Woes

I am dude who likes playing computer games and can do it forever.

However, thanks to the CAT- ACCA pathway my time is kinda GONE and that means bye-bye games.

I have a friend named Richard doin ACCA with me & he told me wait until you are 25. Only after u settle in life can u play to the FULLEST.

And as from now I will be waiting for that day. The day when I can play computer games happily.
On that day, I make sure my computer will SO DAMN POWERFUL it can play any GAME.
It will have the BEST motherboard, GPU and etc....

Patience...Patience....

Oh God !

Looks like the future for God is kinda bleak, eh?

With the mounting attack from the atheist, the satanist and the communist.

They use to say, "God Bless America" but I guess now its the reverse, eh ?

America Bless God. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! x()

Anyway I feel kinda fed up with this whole God issue.

Everyone has their own interpretation so I guess the Manipulated Variable must be manipulated.

What or Who the heck is God ?

Is he a person ?

Will the atheist be happy if God was not a "person" ?

Why Do People Believe In God

Dave, some guy who commented in my c-box asked me this Question.

Found it kinda interesting, so I just googled it.

Then I went to this page and this dude gave 18 reasons why people believe in God.

Here's the page's address :
http://www.wayofthemind.org/2006/09/27/why-do-people-believe-in-god/

Well for those lazy to go I shall quote the guy's reasons :-

1) You can’t explain the existence or origin of something, so you believe God must have done it.

2)
The universe seems too complex, too ordered, too beautiful, to have appeared naturally.

3) You’ve been educated that way.

4)
You feel that your faith in something greater than yourself gives your life purpose and meaning.

5)
You’ve “felt” the presence / touch of God.

6)
It’s comforting to believe that someone is taking care of you.

7)
You’re afraid of death, and want to believe that it’s not the end, that you simply go to a better place.

8)
You feel that (finite) life in this world is meaningless unless there’s something afterwards.

9) You want to believe that there’s some kind of absolute, perfect justice in the universe, even if only after death.

10) You’ve had some unusual experience that made you believe.

11) You’ve witnessed an apparent miracle.

12) You’re desperate for a miracle.

13)
You see your death getting closer and closer.

14)
The example of another believer or believers inspired you.

15)
Other believers were there for you when you needed it.

16)
You like the sense of community that comes from belonging to a church or group of same religion.

17)
Being told what to do and what to think comforts you.

18)
While reading the Bible or other religion's holy scriptures, something made you believe.

There you have it, the reasons why some people belive in God.

Hey & Hi

Mmm... its been 7 days sinced i last blogged.

This is cuz I had a terrible fever for 3 frikin days.

Kinda sad cuz 3 days just gone like that but what to do?

Oh, Gong Zi Fa Cai & Happy Chinese New Year to all !!!!!!!!!!!

May the Year of The Tiger be full of joy and prosperity to all !!!!!!!!!!

ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Technology & Cars

Technology & Cars.

Now thats a wonderful fusion of the 2 elements, right?

Come on the results are clear:-

1) Drive-by-wire
2) Electronic Power Steering
3) Electronic Paddle
4) Regenerative breaking
5) Heads Up Display (HUD)

Driving becomes more pleasurable & easier.

Well, actually I'm kinda afraid that we are relying too much on technology & electronics.

Just look at Toyota & the recall of the Camry for problems with the accelerator & Prius for problems with regenerative breaking.

But the advance cannot be impeded and cars are just going to get more advance & cool.

I guess you all may know what to expect then, right?

Gundam

I really wonder how many people actually watch Gundam i.e.

1) Gundam SEED
2) Gundam 00

Gundam is a Japanese anime series which is about mecha units / mobile suits called Gundam.

Wait a minute, I know what most people are thinking :-

1) It is childish
2) It's just about robots fighting.

Well, that is what EVEN I first taught until my friend, Leon persuaded me.

You may never know if you never try, right?

Yeah thats what I taught & started watching Gundam SEED Episode 1 around 10 in the night.

What i saw shocked me, the theme was so awesome i continued watching until Episode 15 around 4 in the morning.

I think it is way better than Transformers because it still maintains the human element.

You see, humans pilot these mobile suit a.k.a Gundam.

So it brings in the classic theme of :-

1) The struggle mankind faces to achieve peace
2) The problems arising from different classes of people
3) The abuse of Weapons of Mass Destruction and powerful Technology
4) How to end wars.
5) Powerful technology that ends the energy crisis.

Not only that, it kinda gives me a motivating element and a push to explore the unknown especially regarding the power source of the Gundams in both Gundam SEED & Gundam 00.

Really can't wait for Mobile Suit Gundam 00: The Movie !!!!!!!!!1

The Existence

It seems we only believe in things that we can see with our own eyes, right?

Then something which cannot be seen simply does not exist.

I wonder is this why many people do not believe in God?

Well I believe that for something to exist although it cannot be seen, the effect of its presence can be seen.

Take for example energy, you cannot directly see energy but you can see its effect.

So just because you cannot see energy does not mean it does not exist.

So the question to the atheist now is :-

If theoratically you "approached" God & asked for something like winning a lottery ticket &
lets say at the end of the day you won. What will you think about it.

What i meant by "approach" is something like REALLY 100% believing in God with 100% of faith.

So what about it?

The Barber and God

This is a good one.

I wonder what are the views of the atheist & the polyatheist on this :-

A man went to a barber shop to have his hair cut as usual. He started
to have a good conversation with the barber who was cutting his hair. They
talked about many things and various subjects. Suddenly, they touched
the subject of God.

The barber said, "Look man, I don't believe that God exists!"

"Why do you say that?" asked the man. "Well, it's so easy, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God does not exist. Tell me, if God existed, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be no suffering nor pain? I can't think of loving a God who permits all of these things."

The man thought for the moment, but he didn't want to respond so as to cause an argument. The barber finished his job and the man went out of the shop. Just after heleft the barber shop he saw a man in the street with long hair and beard. It seemed that it had been a long time since he had his hair cut and he looked so untidy.

Then the first man again entered the barber shop and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist!"

"How can you say they don't exist?" asked the barber. I am here and I am a barber."

"No!" the man exclaimed. "You don't exist because if you did there would be no people with long hair and beard like that man who walks the streets."

"But, I do exist, and that is what happens when people do not come to me."

"Exactly!" - affirmed the man. "That's the point. God does exist, and see what happens when so many people don't go to Him and do not look for Him? That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Err...just for your info before any comments :-

1) I am NOT the messenger of God
2) I am NOT preaching for everyone to believe in God
3) I am taking a NEUTRAL position
4) I am NOT an ATHEIST nor a BELIEVER, I am take an AGNOSTIC position.
5) I am doing a research on the EXISTENCE OF GOD & WHY PEOPLE DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD.

Cars & Safety

Been reading newspapers lately and find that

A LOT of accidents happening & people DYING.

It kinda shocks me to see lives being taken away just like that.

I always wonder what can stop this.

I used to think it was THE CAR itself i.e.

If you drive a BMW, you are safe.
If you drive a Proton, you are dead.

But only now I know that it is IRRELEVANT what you drive.

It is only the DRIVER who can prevent an accident.

So to all you drivers out there, - Chill & Keep it slow. It's just a road not a racing track.
- No need for stuns such as drifting & doin High G turns.
- Don't drink & drive, friends don't let friends drive DRUNK!

You only got 1 life, don't waste it!!!!!!!!!!

Hey! Hey! Hey!

It's been some time since i blogged cuz i had Progress Test.

F6 was the last paper & it was kinda better compared to F5 & F4 but STILL kinda hard.

While studying for the test I kinda felt isolated from the world for a while.

But hey, I'm FREE now. Yep only for now until CNY holidays.

A lot of stuff happening in Sunway KL past few weeks like :-

(1) Freshies Night (the theme was TWILIGHT)

could not go thanks to Progress Test.

Well, thats the thing about doin ACCA. You kinda have to sacrifice your social life.

I wonder how is Sunway JB & Crecendo (err..sorry i dunno the spelling) ?

Egalitarianism

What is Egalitarianism?

Well, it simply means Equality.

All the people around the world really want to see a egalitarian utopia.

However, it is not easy to achieve such a status. Especially in a country where there are
multiracial societies as well as minorities and majorities.

Equality in Malaysia is mentioned in the Federal Constitution under Article 8.
Then there is Article 153 which has resulted in a lot of criticism against equality in Malaysia.

Well, equality is not just a problem in Malaysia but many other countries around this world.
This is because we as humans are never the same although we are the same species i.e. Homo Sapiens.

There is always some difference. I will try to list a few:-

1) Religion
2) Ethnicity /Race
3) Skin Colour
4) Political Ideology
5) Economical Ideology

If you read Wikipedia it says that countries such as Sweden, Finland and Japan scored highly in social wellbeing and equality indices.

Come on! Look at their population. There is rarely even about 5% of the citizens who are immigrants from other countries. No wonder equality so readily exist.

But look at United States. The population consist of a substantial amount of immigrants from many foreign countries. In addition the Sept 11 incident has made matters worse in U.S.

Achieving equality will take a long time through education and understanding.

If you want to see an egalitarian utopia around this region then look at Singapore.

Avatar & Legion

For this year so far I have watched 2 movies.

The 1st would be Avatar.
What can I say?

Well, it was a nice movie. REALLY well done.
The story kinda tells us about human nature i.e.
(i) their total disregard for nature
(ii) crazy about finding a source of energy
(iii) killing no matter what gets in their pathway to dominance

The only thing I find to be TOTAL BS/ does not make sense is :-
The TIME LINE.
Come on, finding a planet able to sustain life & travel to it in 2154!
That kinda stuff might only be possible in 3154!!!!

The 2nd movie would be Legion.

It was kinda short yet thrilling & exciting.
However at the end it makes you wanna say, "WTF"?!
This movie however does raise an interesting question.
People lose faith in God. That happens most of the time, right?
What if God loses faith in people?
Now thats what I am talking about.

However, I believe that God will never lose faith in humanity.
HE might test us from time to time though.
I wonder what the atheist & polyatheist think about this?

The Progress Test

Just sat for the Progress Test for F4 & F5.

Made me realise that ACCA is a QUANTUM LEAP from CAT.

The question might look easy but it aint for F5. It was worse than T7 & T4.

F4 was even worse than T8 & T5 combined. There is an inflation of marks for F4.
(The question is 5 marks but you gotta write more than 5 paragraphs)

Oh& one more thing. The Progress Test in Sunway KL is = to a Mock Exam in Sunway JB.
The progress test was held in the MPH which is actually a basketball court but an airr-conditioned one. Very comfortable but not the test.

The Capitalist & The Socialist

Subhash has recently expressed his view on capitalism &

IT is CRYSTAL CLEAR that he is kinda against it.

I know there are some people out there who do not know what the heck is

A) Capitalism
B) Socialism

Well, in simple terms:-

Capitalism is - when the system of economy is owned by people or individual

Socialism is kinda the opposite.

Malaysia adopts a capitalist position just like the USA & the other ELITE countries.

Socialism can still be seen in North Korea & maybe Venezuela.

The PROBLEM with CAPITALISM is that it hurts workers, because businesses make more money by selling things than they pay to the workers who make the things and, therefore, businessmen become rich while workers remain poor and/or exploited.

You no need to look far for the PROBLEM with SOCIALISM, just look at the 2 countries mentioned above. I think most of us are kinda glad to be a capitalist country.

The point is that no economic system is suitable. There is always drawbacks & flaws here and there. I think capitalism is doing quite well and that is why it is adopted by many. Come on, its human nature. Think like this, "To survive you gotta work your ass off" or "Survival of The Fittest".

If you watched the movie, Wall Street, there is this saying, "GREED IS GOOD".
Well, here is where the problem with capitalism starts. Its drives people into the sin of GREED.
As you all may know, when one enjoys another suffers.

Solution : The Capitalist & The Socialist should compromise & form a new economic system acceptable to both parties.

No use fighting with each other. It will lead nowhere. Subhash, why not try making a economic system you find fair. I am sure it might be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

KL people

Back in JB we always use to think KL people were :-

1) Will party animals
2) Relax & chilled out people
3) Don't give a damn about studies
4) Consume booze, dope, or anything you can think off.

Well, that perception was 100% wrong only for ACCA students I guess. The Financial Course students are one of the most hardworking bunch I have ever seen.

Their commitment & hardwork for success is astounding. I use to think becoming a World Prize Winner is somethin impossible until I saw these guys.

There's something about them which drives you to strive for execellance. I just do not know what is it. Is is their discipline, mentality or God knows what?

Lookin at this people achieving success makes you really think NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.
Come on, IF THEY CAN DO IT WHY NOT YOU !!!!

Subhash once told me nobody's perfect. Well quite true but not always. We can be perfect in certain things.

Look around you:-

An arrow hitting a bulleye. That is perfection.
Drawing a circle with a compass. That is perfection.
Rocket lifting off into space. That is perfection.
Scoring 100 marks in a test. That is perfection.
Constructing a block with 90 degree angle. That is perfection.
Division of a cell. From 1 to 2. That is perfection.
WHY, look at yourself, even you are a result of perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing is impossible as long as you have BELIEVE & FAITH in it.
